Tarek never expected to become a father. There's no particular reason for it. The thought just never crossed his mind. He has always been quiet, and because of that, has a poor track record for making and keeping friends. Tarek went through quite the awkward phase in his adolescent years, so did not attract the attentions of mares like some of his peers did. He just assumed he would always be somewhat of a loner because that's what he's always been. Hannah is the catalyst that changed everything for Tarek, and now that he is a father, he finds it suits him. He really does enjoy it.

Tarek will never be one of those stallions that breeds many mares a season. What he loves about being a father has nothing to do with furthering his bloodline, or the pleasure of mounting mares. He loves the one-on-one interaction he gets with Yngvar. Being an active part of a child's life is the part of fatherhood Tarek loves and this can't be done with more than a few at a time.

Tarek will also never collect many mares. His affinity for Hannah is strong. Whether his opinions of her are the mark of true and lasting monogamous love, or just the intense infatuation that comes with the newness of any relationship is yet to be told, but she is perfect to Tarek in every way. No other could compare. Tarek could think of no other mare he would want to wake up next to on a dewy autumn morning, or to mother his children. The sight of her ignites a passion inside him he's never felt before.

Tarek makes his entrance and is greeted with the welcome sight of his lover. She is absolutely ethereal, her feminine form cloaked in the soft glow of light filtering through the trees. Butterflies take wing in his stomach, but only for a moment. Yngvar leaves his mother's side in a hurry, and chases all the butterflies away. Tarek greets the youngster by surging forward into him, fully intending to chest bump him. He arches his neck and hooks his chin over Yngvar's back to give him a fatherly hug. "Good morning, Yngvar."
