Liland knew this land was taking its toll on his herd and he hated it. But what else was he suppose to do? He did not want to live in a land where he was not the king of his own herd, he did not do well obeying other stallions demands. The dunes were empty as of right now so there was no threat of making this island a monarchy.

I know these lands are not the best, the heat is horrid, and the night colds are just as bad. But I don't like the threat of other stallions like Warsaw. im not a fighter , but will fight to protect whats mine. I promise Ill look for another land to call homehe said softly.

Though with winter ending and spring his foals would be born and then they'd have to wait till they were stronger to travel through the water. He nuzzled her.
