I just posted that I saw a mountain lion in Weymouth MA. and the description is exactly what your wife described.
Swooping tail touched the ground and curved upward. Coloring was on the yellowy or golden color and it stopped and turned around and looked backka t me from across a main road and was not timid looking.
I went into my apartment as I doubted it would have run back across and kill me for seeing it...I saw it!
