As the winter was drawing to an end he was getting more and more anxious. He knew his mares were getting close to foaling. Sabela was to be the first and due to his way of life, her foal would be the heir to the herd no matter the gender. Even if deep down he had wanted to make his first son the heir it may not be that way.
He was dozing by the watering hole which over the winter had died down to normal size. The desert back to being just that. His ears twitch however; his nostrils flare and his lip goes up in the flemming response. He glances around and notes who is absent and soon begins to follow his nose and eyes.
Finally he sees Sabela and their daughter. He calls to them as he picks up his pace and soon comes to a halt in front of Sabela who he extends his nose to to huff into her.She is gorgeous! What do you think of the name Rayna?He says. He knows she couldn't exactly answer him but she could let him know she accepts the name. She is to be heir to the herd as she is my first bornhe says.
As the little filly is getting to her little legs and soon nursing he moves to sniff at her as she does so. It isn't long till she is finished with her first drink that the little one is now facing him and staring at him. Hello little one, I am Liland your fatherHe said calmly.
