sent from the heavens above...

Solaris looked so eager, prancing ahead of him. He tried to look more happy himself to be here, his lips twitching as she glanced back at him. He kept his ears pricked forward, trained on her. Where else could he look? She was fascinating to watch. Only when he smelled a dominant stallion scent did he look elsewhere, and instantly he paused and swallowed. This must be the grandfather she had told him about, and he didn't look happy. The other stallion had his ears back and was glaring at Angel like he'd killed someone right in front of him. Oh yeah, it had to be the grandfather. Angel lowered his head submissively, ears flicked back as he made chewing motions with his mouth. The last thing he wanted to do was get beat up on his first tour of the herd Solaris brought him to.

You're so weak. Not a dominant bone in your body. You deserve his teeth and hooves. What else are you good for? He quivered at the idea of getting hit, his gaze trained on the ground though he looked more toward Solaris' hooves, wanting to keep track of her. As she motioned for him to come closer to the very pissed looking stallion, Angel snorted and pretended not to notice her motions, looking off in another direction. Then he heard her say the stallion's name, Warsaw. She said that she brought someone for him to meet. Then she introduced him as her boyfriend and said that he would be living with her. Angel swallowed again, not able to meet either of their eyes as the stallion only said "I see" (in the most creepy voice ever).

Then he heard Warsaw talking again and this time, he had to assume he was talking to himself. Great. Angel quivered again and slowly looked up at the older stallion, listening as he said that he would have said no if Solaris asked him for any stallions to stay the night. Solaris' words broke through the very awkward silence (it was for Angel, anyway), saying that he was going to live there with her forever. Angel inhaled sharply, eyes widening a bit in panic as he took a hesitant step back from Warsaw. Oh boy, was she trying to get him killed?! Huh, maybe that was her plan all along. Trick you here and get you killed off by her grandpa? Sounds like a good soap opera. Angel could sense the tension in the air escalate ten fold. Warsaw made a movement as if to flinch and Angel could only assume that wasn't good.

Then the stallion surprised him by introducing himself. Angel only raised his head enough to bow his head in respect, listening as Warsaw then told him that he would follow commands and not hurt Solaris. Angel nodded in response, glancing over at Solaris almost wistfully. "I would never hurt her, or anyone, for that matter." That's one way to let him know you're useless. When his eyes found Solaris, he found her looking content, happy even. How was she not picking up on the tension? Angel flicked his tail and let out another soft snort, wondering if he could be dismissed yet. He just wanted to go crawl in a corner and hide at this point.
