Like diamonds in the sky (Angel/open)

Solaris

Angel was always so delighted to see her and this made her happy. She craved the attention he gave her and she missed his sweet nature when she was away. She always returned to him and Angel rewarded her by following her faithfully. He had followed her home months ago and now he was prepared to up and move with her to a whole different island. She nods her head at his question. "I mentioned I might return with my boyfriend, but that is all he knows. Don't worry it will be fine." She was only thinking about how wonderful Angel will feel in the warmer environment that Atlantis offered. His body frame was more matched to the climate there, but she wasn't sure how her father would react.

Honestly, he shouldn't get much say since she just recently met him. She has known Angel longer, if only by a couple of weeks. Much like their first meeting, Solaris guides Angel away from the Inlet on a whim that everything would be fine. She enters the icy waters on the shore and slowly emerges her whole stocky frame into the cold liquid. She shivers a few times, but soon her body adjusts and she makes sure Angel was following her in. Solaris begins the swim from the island of Tinuvel towards Atlantis. Eventually, the change in water temperature was a telltale sign they were getting closer. She needed to reach shore fast because she was beginning to feel very uncomfortable. The parts of her body that weren't submerged in the water felt like it was on fire.

Pain shot across her barrel and she squeals. The mare thrashed for a few minutes mid swim with Paradise in her sights. She could feel the support of Angel's body closer, but she only wanted to push him away. She didn't understand what was happening or why, but she could only assume this had something to do with the foal. When she was able, Solaris began to swim again until she finally made it to Paradise. The bay overo practically drags herself ashore where she gives birth to her first child. All that pain and struggle across the ocean was now understood as she cleans off the palomino filly who stares back at her with the most darling brown eyes.

She bleats and the mare's heart swells with love. Solaris's eyes instantly search for Angel to see the look of his face. Here they were on a much warmer, more tropical, island with a brand new little girl. "Angel will you look at her?" Solaris stands and extends her muzzle to rubs against her mate's neck. She stares back at the filly who was working to stand for the first time. "Can we call her Galexia?" She was in fact, this mare's whole universe so she took the word galaxy and formed it into a name for her daughter.
