Rougaru was careful to watch Sanibel as her time drew close, he truly doubted that she would dare to attempt the swim on her own but none the less he found himself constantly keeping her within his gaze. Rougaru was old enough now to know what he pains of labor looked like and when the first few waves began to affect her, he turned his focus away from patrolling his borders and instead to watching the pale mare.

He does not try to intrude upon such a moment that was reserved for mother and child alone, but none the less he is watchful. It is a while before she returns from the thickest of the underbrush, a damp little palomino colt in tow. Weariness echoed in every fiber of her pale form but then again there is also pride. The pride of a mother that managed to bring forth a healthy foal. She gazed at the small child with a sense of saddness and the beast within him cannot help but to bristle. A single dial flickers to his painted viper as she ventures closer too, her perfectly cupped ears flickering back and forth as confusion lights her eyes. Her time was coming... of that he was sure. It was a thrill taking Sanibel beneath him, taking what belonged to another... it had been a pleasure with Vasilisa and her eagerness to please him... but his painted dove.. now that would be something completed different and no less as worth while. Multifaceted eyes glitter as he meets her gaze for a single moment, before drawing his gaze away from her and settling upon the pale mare and his pale son. "Not wishing his father was Shamwari are you?" he asks, the wolf cackling below the surface, its golden eyes glinting in the pale emerald of his own.

He takes a step forward, muscular neck extended to allow ashen plush inhale the scent of the palomino newborn. "He is strong... shows promise. His name shall be Beowulf." he remarks with a rather matter of fact tone.
