Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

That beauty is a puzzle

Ernesto seems to understand the predicament he was in. Augustine had a secret interest in mares without actually seeking them out. For now, he was too lazy to travel around the islands, but one day he just might. He would wait until mares were brought into the Lagoon and work his magic on them then. Maybe just that act would spread the word of how attractive he was. Of course, once they met his sire he would no longer be such a prize. He listens to Ernesto as he says talking to mares takes a lot of practice. The bay stallion nods his head. Figures it would take work. Everything did.

Now comes his interest in learning Ernesto's accent. He thinks maybe the longer he spends with his father the better he will get. His mother didn't talk the way Ernesto did so he may have been messed up being raised by her first, but he was still young so maybe he could turn this around. He listens as Ernesto says he cannot teach his accent. Augustine pulls his lower lip out in a pout but says nothing as he continues to listen. Ernesto gives his first lesson in woman getting, flattery. Mares loved to be complimented. Augustine begins to take mental notes. Una belleza. He repeats the words in his head before attempting to say them out loud.

"Una belleza." He may not have said it exactly like his father, but he was close. "What does that mean?" Maybe he should have asked that question before speaking the words.
