It's worthless in term of being a specialist qualification.!
the aim of this test is the uk trainees only. Because they need to prove that they have competencies to be safe ophthalmology consultants and doing the exam is part of this.
Don't waste time and effort on this exam.
Beside if you are outside the system the chance of passing the practical aspects is very low as they will spot your unawareness of the uk style of dealing with cases and patients.
Answers you give in FRCS Glasgow or Edinburgh don't work with the FRCOphth committees.
