Tava's positive reaction to the Bay gives him some hope and happiness. He could feel joy swell in his chest, but with that came loud thumping. Their gazes lock for only a second of two, but he could feel his face flush. He wonders if she could see it, but he quickly looks away and lowers his mouth to the stream. He takes a few quick gulps of water then raises his head and walks beside Tavas. She asks a question that causes him to stop. Honey brown eyes fall to the grass floor for a minute, maybe two, until he collects himself and begins walking again. He catches up to walk beside the attractive palomino.

"I love it here, but not alone. Being alone sucks." The words come out of his mouth as he looks ahead. "But I am glad you're here now." A soft smile sets on his lips as he finally looks at her again. He wanted her to know, in his own way, he was really glad to have her here. He never wanted Tavas to leave him alone, but if she didn't like it here, or like him, he would never force her to stay. "Do you miss being away from the Inlet?" Tavas was asking questions about how he felt, but he needs to know more about her. He needs to know what she thinks about all of this stuff going on between them.

Things were awkward, but they were forced together by Warsaw. If Tavas didn't like it than neither did he. He had only liked the arrangement because he knew he wouldn't ever be alone.
