He was used to the awkward stare down between himself and strangers by now. This was usually how he greeted everyone even though the Bay was his and it was his responsibility to find out why strangers were here. There was no doubt Warsaw would regret making him his Earl to lead the Bay while more sutiable stallions roamed the islands. He guesses Warsaw was trying to give his son purpose, but it was more likely he expected great things since he came from his seed. Requiem just could not live up to Warsaw's expitations. He could not force himself to do things he was not comfortable with.

His body stiffens as the two begin to turn towards him. He knew they would either walk off in the opposite direction or they would come investigate why he was staring. He thinks how embaressing it would be to answer he was starting because he owns this land and wondered what they were doing here. The two of them would think he was a fool. That young stallion might even chase him off to keep the place to himself! Requiem had enough confidence to think he could chase off the intruders if he needed to, but only to keep the Bay. Apparently, he couldn't do the same when it came to protecting his mares. Good thing he didn't have any.

The pair begin to walks in his direction. Requiem swallows hard and stands straight to look as tall as he could. They got closer and closer until they were within earshot for speaking. The mare speaks first with a friendly hello followed by introductions of herself and her son. Requiem gives them a small smile and a nod of his cream colored skull. Jetta asks if he lives here and he nods again. "Hello." He says, but after a minute of silence he finally introduces himself the rest of the way. "My name is Requiem and yes, I lead this Bay." He wanted to ask why they were here, but his mouth shuts and he is quiet.
