Liland was long gone from the Desert and a new brute has moved in. Desirie traveled there one day, but she saw the stallion acting roughly in a manner she did not approve of. She told her daughters to never venture over there in case the stallion were to attack them or take their youth. Leilyn was too young to worry about losing her virginity, but she wouls be old enough to get pregnant in a year's time and Desirie would do everything she could to avoid it.

Libra was still pure which her mother instructed her to keep it that way until she fell in love just as her father had done. Libra was the only child to Capricorn, born from the love he had for his lead mare Desirie, and the love of his religion which he entrusted to Libra. She now practices his teachings and Desirie doesn't stop her.

Yesterday, Leilyn found a young colt that had wandered over and they begun to play. Desirie didn't allow them to play long because she did not know who the child was or where his mother was. She assumes it might have something to do with a new mare Shaydowfax had just brought in from the Inlet so she searched for the stranger to return her child. She eventually found the mare asleep and returned Torsten peacefully without waking her up.

Desirie glances at her young grullo daughter who was playing with her big sister by the oasis. Desirie walks over for the drink where the filly begins jumping in the water around her and splashing water towards the mare. Desirie chuckles and tosses water back at her with a stomp of her hoof. Leilyn giggles and races off towards Libra where she pretends to charge her sister.
