Falls

The thundering falls has her lost in the moment. It mesmerizes her, with its thunderous noise. She hardly takes notice of a dappled man approaching until he was close enough she could practically hear him breathing. She swivels her delicate crown to look at the man, and her breath is caught in her throat. She admires his thick mess of mane atop his thick head, his dappled hide, he was a handsome man. His thick accent fills the space between them. His words were strange to her delicate ears.

"Yes I am f..f.fine." She stumbles over words. She could feel the anxiety in the pit of her stomach. She has hardly ever been around a man, let alone speak with one directly. She nods her head as he mentions that it is a lovely day. She can feel herself forgetting her anxiety as she notices the little blessings once again. She can feel the warmth of the sun against her skin, she hears the soft twitter from the birds, and smells the fresh water. "It really is." She nods her delicate head in agreement with the dappled stallion.

"Do you know what this place is called?" She asks the dappled man. Maybe just by chance he has been here before or this could be his first time just like her. She turns her green eyes upon his face. If her father knew that she was this close to a man, he would of come bellowing from the forest behind her. He would of berated her for not listening to his rules, about how men were dangerous. She can not help but feel rebellious as she stands near enough to the dappled man to reach out and touch his coat with her nose. For a brief moment, she wonders if all of the men of this island were of his stature?
