Mom cries harder so he watches with worry. The colt's focus strays from her a time or two to glance at the othets around them, but his brown gaze always returns to his mother. Father seemed happy to have him, but it was his mother he was closest to. His heart aches for her to the point that tears form in his own eyes. He cries, but only for a short time abd he stops when she does.
Once his mother seemed okay, she began talking to the mare again. Torsten wants to be alone with his family in this strange land, but the mare that brought them here looms over them with worry. If he was older he might feel different, but right now he was afraid and confused. Why had mother cried? Mother says his name so his eyes go to the new mare. The mare greets them kindly, but he only stares back at her.
The colt asks Torsten and his siblings to play. Quinn and Joker seem eager to go play, but he was still unsure. Being with his siblings would make thing easier so he decides to follow them. Of course, only once mother aproves. The twins ask mom if it was okay to go play and though Torsten doesn't say it, he watches her for an answer. |
