Only need the sun when it starts to snow;

Darkness shrouded her here, shadows creeping around every corner, hanging beneath the ominous trees. Concern trickled through her skin, seeping through every hair and leaving her body frigid. Glacier eyes watch the cream colored stallion before her, watching as his nostrils flare and his dark eyes grow hard. His ears fall backwards in displeasure as her words break the silence surrounding them. She did her best to keep her voice even, to relay what concerns lay upon her heart and yet the Liland she knew what not there. This stallion, a shadow of his former self, his eyes cold and devoid of emotion stared at her with something akin to anger. No more was the kind stallion with bright eyes and cheerful smile. No more was there the cream form in which she found herself relying fully on to protect herself and their herd. He was not the stallion whom she had allowed to mount her and plant his seed in her belly, the stallion she had faithfully followed and birthed his colt. That Liland was not the one meeting her gaze now.

He speaks finally, his voice frigid as he remarks that it was never his intention to remain in the Deserts. She had hoped that he would keep his herd there of coure, but knew deep down that he was not happy with the harsh deserts. She had expected him to move, but to move in beside the island stallion whom had stolen his queen? It had confused her, and yet the lush grazing and plentiful rivers made her concern vanish. It was from the nutrient rich environment that her son, his children had flourished. But when he summons them together again for yet another herdland seemingly the polar opposite from the oasis that they had found on Atlantis... that is when when it hit her. This was not right.

Her own raven tipped ears fall backwards as proudly her dished head is lifted in defiance. "Could you not have challenged for Zjeena without moving the herd to Atlantis?" she asks, her voice rising despite her attempt to keep her tones gentle. She was not here to fight. "The foals have spent their lives in the warm environment and yet you take them, take us all away from what we have known." she chides a single brow rising as she studied him.

He speaks again, this time, her beating heart runs cold and anger flashes in her pale silver blue eyes. Not only did he threaten to separate her from her son, but he planned to toss her to the very stallion that he continued to battle time and time again as though she were nothing more than a discarded toy that he had tired of. "You wouldn't dare!?!" she hisses, her usually light hearted tone growing quiet. Her skin shivered now, fighting against the cold air and anger, which she could not be sure. She takes a step closer to him, pale eyes glittering from beneath the thick veil of dark forelock. "I joined you by choice Liland. I came to you willingly, I bore your son freely! How dare you think that it is your right to tell me where I shall go or that you might be capable of separating me from my own child!" she snaps, striking a single forelimb down upon the rocky soil. Long thick tail flicks irritably against the supple silvery color of her flanks as once more rises her head level with his own. "I am NOT your property to be traded at your will. If I go, I take my son with me." she murmurs, shifting her head to gaze at the rambunctious colt racing up and down the shoreline, his nose following whatever new or unknown scent trail he had come upon.

OOC: feel free to force her XD
