Cullen was always around when it came to the Lagoon. He only left this place to fight someone for a mare or add more members to his band of bachelors. He has once again won a mare from the Peak, but Cullen quickly returns to his home afterward. He did not have the usual opponent this time, but a stallion. The stallion was much larger than himself, mightier one might say, but Cullen didn't fear his enemies. He came at the stallion with a level head which led him to victory. It was obvious in their tussle that this stallion had some kind of connection with the foreign tongued mare. He could feel the passion with every blow. Cullen barely skated off with the mare, but he was successful nonetheless.

He could feel the mare's anger lift from beneath her skin so he decides to leave her be to calm down. He wasn't sure he could win another fight so soon anyway. He welcomes the mare to her new home before trotting off further into his Lagoon to announce to the herd they had a new arrival. This breeding season would be interesting with the few mares he has brought into the Lagoon and he assumes his stallions will end up fighting over the few mares, but that was unavoidable. They could work out their issues among themselves, but Cullen will intervene before they kill each other. A dead herd mate would do nothing good for him. His eyes roll at the thought, but he knew one day it was bound to happen.

He wasn't very far from his new captive when the intruder's scent filled the air. Cullen snorts and doesn't hesitate to travel towards them, but he keeps his pace slow and quiet. He wishes to sneak up on them and eavesdrop a bit before he makes himself known. He was curious if his theory was true. If that mare and that stallion who fought for her were mates. He quietly stops a distance away from where he sees the black stallion and black mare talking. An unknown buckskin mare travels towards them. A grin spreads on Cullen's lips as he tries to maneuver himself quietly, taking the long way around the group. He positions himself with the path they just took to get here at his back, their escape route behind him.

That is when he yells. A blood-curdling scream with golden ears pinned to his white mane and hooves stomping on the dirt. If he had his way, none of them would ever escape.
