For a brief moment, Björn catches a glimpse of her father softening toward Nya. Her words are barely audible to his erect ears. Their embrace only lasts a few seconds before Rougaru focuses his steely gaze on Björn. His muscles tense beneath his smoky hide, ready to retreat, if the stallion decides that he was not worthy of his pleasentaries.
The moment passes and he relaxes as her father introduces himself as Rougaru. What business do you have in Tinuvel? The question fills the air between them. "I seek to go and retrieve what is mine." He pauses before he continues, choosing the words that leave his lips wisely. "A boy by the name of Requiem, denied me the Bay so I am off to take something of his in return." He mentions the name of Requiem to see if the name rang any bells with Rougaru.
He has found himself on a journey of retribution, to regain his honor. He lifts his thick skull as Rougaru's next question surprises him. "I had concerns of your daughter wandering the commons alone. I have seen what becomes of girls when they stray too far from home." He had not partaken in such an activity but had seen it done plenty by those men he had called comrades. "I knew it was best for her to be home safe, where her father could protect her from such things happening to her." His gaze shifts to Nya as she dares to move closer to him.
She lets his name fall from her lips and he finishes with his full title. "I am Björn, son of the late Dögun, Pony King of the Inlet," he says with a puff of pride in his chest. "And Já, I was raised on the Islands as a boy." For a moment he can see the young boy as he frolics and plays at his mother's freckled side. Her warm smile can be felt even in this moment of time.
