The crisp night air running through her mane made her feel more alive than she'd ever felt before. She knew that was mostly because of the dark cream stallion just within reach after he'd felt a million miles away just days before. She could reach out and touch him if she wanted to now, nuzzle his chest if she dared, or nip his neck if she was so inclined. The freedom of these thought grounded her. Smelling his thick cologne was like smelling fresh air for the first time. In a way, it felt like a dream, being back here where she could insult and taunt him all she wanted. Where she could take these rare moments and show him another side, a sweeter side. She knew that fire still lived in him and that beast still roared to rule the world. She wouldn't let him conquer it without her now, not even if he tried.

They had never spoken of titles or made promises before. It was like he wanted to make up for the time spent apart. Either way, she reveled in his close proximity and his husky masculine voice in her ear. Maybe something had changed for him while she was gone. He was still the rough around the edges domineering stallion she remembered, but there was a change when he looked at her, like he finally realized something he was missing. She wasn't going to say she didn't like it a little, this new side. Not that she'd admit it out loud. She let her front legs come splashing down in the water, challenging it to wet them both as much as possible. His chuckle tickled her ears as she tossed her head and bunted her muzzle toward his playfully. At his sudden words though, her expression sobered and her ears pricked, listening carefully. She had never met Warsaw before but she tried to gauge Rougaru's opinion. As he mentioned an incoming battle, her skin rippled with anticipation.

His next words made her ears flatten to her skull. She knew exactly who he was talking about then. His enemies, like Liland and the not-so-charming Shamwari. She was sure she left quite the impression on him when last they'd met. Liland might not have turned out so bad but he was a bluffer and she was unimpressed. She gnashed her teeth and raised her head in defiance. "Let them. I'll soak the ground with their blood and leave their worn bodies for you to finish off." Her own tail lashed at her flanks in irritation at the very thought. Liland had tried his word games when he first stole her, threatening to force breed her if Rougaru laid a hoof on Zjeena. Monster had no problem letting him know then that he wouldn't come away unscathed and the stallion had then turned on his tail and said he wouldn't harm her. She had no respect for a stallion like that.

Stand behind what you say or don't say it, simple as that. As for Shamwari, he was like a grumpy old man who sits on a porch and judges everyone who walks by. He tried to charm her into giving him information and all he'd gotten in the end was annoyed by how she wasn't falling for it. Oh boo hoo, grow a pair and ask the right questions or don't bother talking. As Rougaru laughed a little, she raised a brow in curiosity. She followed his gaze as he looked toward a mare and foal Monster had yet to meet, just saying Shamwari had his reasons. She snorted and stomped a fore hoof. Then she dared to step closer to him, rubbing her neck alongside his as she stood chest to chest with her lizard king and lifted her head, whispering into his ear. "Your enemies are my enemies. Together, we'll make them pay."
