The road goes ever on

The mare seems open and willing to hear what he had to say. It was a relief because so many bad things were happening around the islands lately which was putting most at the edge of their comfort zone. Roheryn wasn't afraid of anything except what was happening to him right now, his cousin missing. His mother died when he was young and his aunt took him into her care and raised him. His aunt already had his young cousin so he was raised very close to his cousin, even often calling her sister. She was more than just a family member. She was his best friend.

His aunt was stolen by a stallion on another island and she had just returned to the safety of their home so there was no way he could believe his cousin ran away. She was so upset over losing her mother and so excited when she returned. Her last words to him were she was going to the Forest to tell Han the good news, but she never returned. He went to the Forest, but the only mare he talked to had never seen her. He returned home to rest, but carefully avoided his aunt's questions about Primrose. There was only so much he could take before he had to get away again.

Roheryn was not the type to sit and wait things out. He needed action, he needed to go out and search for his cousin some more. He would search until he found her! Blue eyes bore into the buckskin roan's as he waits for her answer. He leans towards her, hoping to hear something, any kind of information about Primrose. His heart drops at her answer and a large frown brings the corner of his lips down. The mare sets her gaze to the world around him and so he does the same thinking maybe she would just appear, but she doesn't.

When his gaze returns to the mare she was closer and staring strangely into his eyes. The young stallion felt a sudden warm feeling bubble up in his body. He was felt this feeling before when he was talking to a mare, but he didn't yet understand what it was. His ears pull back slightly, but the mare's question flips them back forward. He listens with a confused look on his face. "The sky?" He questions, but the mare continues to speak about her mother and how she told her how one of her eyes became blue. Roheryn studies the mare a bit closer, noting her different colored eyes. "Uh..." He stutters.

"I don't know. My mother died when I was a handful of months old. She never told me anything like that." He doesn't mention his mother to bring the mare's mood down, but just as a statement.
