hold me in this wild, wild world;

The mare of branished gold gives a hard snort as the pale stallion speaks up. His ears fall backwards and he lifts his head proudly giving Talien the desire to do more than just give his chest a hard swift kick. The words that fall from his lips bring a hard laugh bursting from her. Dark eyes of glacier ice meet his as she lifts her own head defiantly. "Oh yes my great king, let us poor mares bend our heads to your greatness." she purrs, sarcasm dripping like venom from the pale woman's voice. Dramatically she bends a forelimb, her small dished muzzle dropping towards the earth. Thick chocolate colored locks tumble haphazardly over the broad flat of her brow as suddenly she lifts her head once more, a malicious sneer upon her exotic features. "You expect your pets to beg for your favor, to spread our legs hungrily for your seed but should you decline only then are we free to offer ourselves up to another? I think not." she growls, her tones darkening as thick tail snaps audibly against her supple haunches.

He grunts as her hooves connect with his chest but he does not heed her warning. Instead his ears falls back once more and his thick skull lifts as he met her fierce gaze with one of hard displeasure. He speaks of his claim upon her, of his rules and regulations and to this Talien cannot help but to scoff. She had always lived the life of a loner, even apart of a herd she made her own decisions on where to withstand bad weather, were to graze and how to stand. The idea that Liland thought it his authority to tell here where it was she stood in this pecking he called a herd was amusing to say the least. He might be stubborn and determined, but he had not seen the likes of her before, at least that is what she told herself.

"Shall I kiss your hooves in passing as well m'lord?" she mocks, her tones plaintiff and desperate, a stark contrast to the dark glare that met his gaze. A single forelimb stomps again as she takes another step away from him, lifting her proud head high in defiance, "You and your little queen would do better speaking to that tree over there then telling me what I will or will not do. If I choose to leave here, I will. If I choose to carry another stallion's foal I will. If I wish to challenge your queen I will if nothing more than to beat a few pretty new bruises upon her hide to remind you what I can do." she snaps giving her head a shake again. Ash dusted labrums part as blunt teeth bare viciously at him. "I care little of what you have been through for I am sure it is nothing near what I have had to face, what others have faced. Your pitiful demands will meet deaf ears here." she finishes turning away from him and trotting towards a small clearing near the lakeside.
