Larka follows his gaze as Noctis points his muzzle towards the nearby herd. Pale silver blue eyes blink against the bright sunlight as her gaze flits over the many different faces that made up the herd before them. There were several different mares of pale hues, a few painted mares but there was only one dark colored mare. A single earlobe flickers as the dark mare lifts her head to eye her son and Larka. For a single moment their eyes connect but with a mere flick of her tail, the mare turns her attention once more to her gazing, her own thick dark tail flicking back and forth against supple haunches.

Noctis goes on to voice his concern for her safety. He reminds her that there are coyotes that call this island home and Larka offers him a warm smile. "I assure you the coyotes here are the least of my worries." she breathes with a soft chuckle. Sure coyotes were not shy when it came to their bravado. She did look the part, with ribs clearly visable beneath her dry white coat. Liland's constant movement had done its part in taking the nutrients from her body, but with the supple greenery available here on the jungle island, she hoped that once more her coat would shine in the sunlight and hide the gaunt bones beneath supple flesh. She just hoped Bran would find enough to eat.

Once more her thoughts drift back to the colt she had been forced to seperate from. He would be about the age of the silver black colt before her now and though he would always show signs of her arabic lineage, she hoped that Liland was right and that he would be able to adapt to the Bay and its frigid ice and snow. Sorrow flickered through her eyes as she turned her gaze back to Noctis. "You must be happy." she breathes, her tones soft, quiet. "Having your mother and father here with you. It must be nice."
