He snorted when she tried to tell him that there were other ways to get what he wanted. "Honeyed words will only let a mare think that she can manipulate you. Maybe not every mare, but most I've come across would walk all over a stallion who tried the 'nice' approach." He growled the words and shook his head. She said that he didn't bother her cause she knew she could fight him if she needed to. He tilted his head. "Why should you ever need to fight your lead stallion? I give protection and a home. I give you strong children. What more could you need?" She said that she believed in the old fashioned way of doing things and he scowled. "I thought it was just the way of things. Have they changed?" As a foal, he only knew one way. It was all he'd ever seen growing up.

She then said that trouble seemed to find her and he chuckled. "Seems we're in the same boat, then."
