48th Annual Barrie Christmas Bird Count (CBC)

More than a thousand CBCs are run each year and Barrie’s count is among the longest standing. Please join this ongoing venture to tally the bird populations found in the Barrie area in early winter. Expert and novice alike are welcome, and the formation of groups will ensure neophytes will be grouped with veterans. Please register no later than December 7th, 2019 with Chris Evans preferably by email CBCBarrie@gmail.com or alternatively by Mobile 705-722-1136 with the following information so I can assign you to a team which will provide the best experience for you:
1) Area/Sector # preference (see map below with Area/Sector #'s 1 to 9)
2) Your level of birding experience: Novice, Intermediate or Expert
3) Any special needs like transportation, mobility, binoculars, limited time slot, etc.
4) Phone #(s), Home and/or Mobile Preferred Email address

Potluck Supper and CBC Tally

A potluck supper will be held after the count at the Westennial Hall of Northwest Barrie United Church. The doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the meal will commence at 6:30 p.m. After dinner the team results of the census will be presented to the membership.
Bring a dish for our Potluck Supper. Contact Christine Beggs (705) 721-6842 for Potluck queries. (It always works out!) Bring your own plate and cutlery and a contribution to the supper.
