Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

not all treasure is silver and gold

He was now uncomfortable with the choice he made taking a dip in the mud. It looked cool at first, but now he only felt itchy and annoyed. The stranger's validation that he was handsome felt great (in his mind it was validation), but it wasn't enough for him to still like the itchy disguise. Then the painted stallion asks where his mommy is. The muddy colt just shrugs his shoulder. His head quickly starts to shake side to side like he was looking for something. His little nose points to the sky and he breathes in a couple of times. "Wait." He says to the stallion. He knew the word well from his mother telling him to wait and sit still a lot.

The colt bounces off to the right until he disappears. A handful of minutes pass, maybe even ten, but the colt does return. His mud painted coat was now gone and his ivory coat was damp from the water he washed off in. He shakes off some loose droplets before approaching the stallion with a large grin. "Handsome?" He asks again, this time asking if his real appearance was just a good looking like the last dirty coat he created. A shrill cry breaks the colt's happy demeanor and he cowers, knowing the angry voice of his father well.

Cullen gallops towards him. Shit! He thinks as he sees the scene in the distance. His son, his only son, talking to the son of his enemy. Jabari may be a bachelor for the time being, but it wasn't a permanent arrangement and he defiantly didn't trust Jabari with his secrets. Cullen skids to a fast stop, pulling some grass from their roots and causing the colt to lay his ears back in a submissive way. Cullen snorts and urges his son closer before his eyes fall on Jabari. He doubts his young son could say much, but he wouldn't put anything past the boy.

"Jabari..." He says as Verrat stands behind his golden father. "I see you met a son of the Lagoon. Have you met the other bachelors yet?" He asks Jabari and to throw the boy off their minds and turn the conversation towards Jabari meeting his men. Maybe if Jabari got to talk to them more he might decide to stay in their company longer. It was Cullen's wish that Jabari became his ally and not his enemy.
