The road goes ever on

Roheryn knows that this precious time he was spending talking to this mare was costing him. He would not be able to stay out as late now because he did not want to give Sanibel any more worries. He needs to find his cousin above all else, but something about this kind mare has distracted him. He was losing track of time. The conversation felt so effortless, but all good things must come to a close. He knows this, but he did not want to say goodbye. Not yet.

He found her nickname odd because it didn't seem suited to her, but Roheryn was no stranger to messing things up. The troublesome colt was growing into an honorable stallion that fought for his loved ones and told no lies. Well, he was trying to be anyway. He had a good teacher, but this time he had taken his actions into his hooves to find Primrose. He was hoping to find her before anyone noticed, but too much time has passed now. He had to tell his family about her disappearance and all he has done to find her. He couldn't do that if he stayed in this meadow. Crystal eyes glance around the landscape, but nothing strikes out as odd. He finds no sign that Primrose could have been here.

It was Feray's voice that brought his attention back to her. She was attractive despite the size difference between them. His name is spoken by her tongue prickle up the hairs on the back of his neck. Never has he been so odd in front of the opposite gender. Eyes glue to her muzzle as it inches toward him. He felt nervous, but he does not move when she gently touches him. He found himself touching her back. She says he was sweet and kind, gentle even. Suddenly, his need to move on was gone. "Thanks." He says a bit awkwardly. There had to be something else he could say..."Do you have a home Feray?" He asks the question before properly thinking it over. Was it too soon to be inviting her home?
