live life to the fullest

She felt safer knowing that Persephone was already around and patrolling. She'd come to trust the mare and thought of her as a friend and dear leader. She couldn't imagine being anywhere else, at least not unless she met someone special. Her ear flicked back as she heard Persephone approaching and her head turned to offer a dip of her head and a smile to her lead mare as she got closer. Persephone seemed suspicious of the other mare but Creed could understand. After all, they'd already had a stallion try to raid the herd so of course she was going to be cautious. When Persephone's expression softened, Creed felt herself relax a little in answer. She took a lot of cues from the other mares in the herd, still. Persephone offered her a nod and smile and Creed smiled back, her tail giving a gentle swish. Then Persephone turned to the mare, welcoming her before introducing herself and asking what brought her here. Creed watched the mare with concern clear in her features.

The mare looked zoned out when she first approached and when she finally did realize she wasn't alone anymore, she acted a lot like Creed herself had when she first came to the islands. She looked downright traumatized, the whites of her eyes rolling as she gave out a squeal and backed up. Creed paused in her approach when that happened, wanting the mare to hear her soft voice and know that she wasn't here to hurt her. The mare's actions made her worry all the more, though. What happened to her? When the mare finally repeated her name, Creed smiled softly and nodded. "Yes." When Persephone came too, the mare looked scared all over again and Creed scowled, wishing they could calm her down and let her see that she was safe here. When the mare backed up again, Creed noted that she acted injured, a back leg almost collapsing beneath her as she let out a grunt and composed herself.

Then the mare repeated Persephone's name and Creed nodded again in reassurance. She finally gave a small response and Creed could only guess she was giving her name as Maeve. Her next question though came out in a different language that Creed had never heard before. She scowled thoughtfully and turned her gaze to Persephone, wondering if she perhaps knew what it meant. When she looked back at the mare, she shook her head slowly and shrugged. "I'm sorry, I don't know what that means. Are you hurt?" Her brow furrowed in worry.
