hold me in this wild, wild world;

Despite her determination to remain impartial towards Liland, Talien was beginning to feel a bit of something for the stallion. Leaning against the rough grip of his blunt teeth the mare of brandished gold hues lets her mind wander to their first encounter and how their relationship had taken a turn since then. She had followed him out of convenience when he appeared before her in the common lands. She wanted a home and well he had one to offer. Yet no sooner had she come upon his shores does he make to breed her and fill her belly with his foal. Judging by the growing swell that now is her stomach, she did not doubt that his seed had taken hold of her fertile womb. She had hated him then, hated the caress commands and superior demeanor in which he held himself. She still was not quite thrilled about that but she had seen him with the pale mare with salt and pepper locks. No doubt the whole island could hear their raised voices as they had bickered. Now for the most part Talien tried to remain on her own, apart of the herd and yet separated, caring little for the menial ongoings of mares and their personal feelings. But well, curiosity and all that. She got the jist of it. This mare was his queen. One who was lost to another and returned pregnant with that other stallion's foal. Apparently it was the mare who struck a bargain with that stallion for her freedom which left her to question was this how Liland treated his mares but for now she kept silent. He continues to groom her skin, his teeth raking over a particularly itching patch of dry skin and Talien arches her back in pleasure. A single lobe flickers backwards as pale gaze drifts to his own. He remarks that perhaps she had never loved before and for a single moment there is a flash of pain that crosses her vision. Yes she had loved before, back when she was nothing more than a youthful filly with eyes fixed upon one and only. But it was not meant to be. She forces the imagine of his three toned skin from her mind and once more fixes her gaze upon Liland. Yes, she had loved once, and never since. The fact that he thought that of her, well that did not bode well. "Your words say it all Liland, even if you dont recognize them. Your duty. No longer do you seem to take pleasure in others, instead you fixate upon the one and all others are left with what remains." she begins pausing a moment as a deep sigh escapes her lungs and lithe frame is given a shake, riding herself of the dusting of snowflakes that peppered her skin. "There is no such thing as love. It is a fickle belief meant for fillies and colts. Mutual benefits that is the only real thing." she muses flicking her thick tail of chocolate hues.

His next words catch her off guard. He wanted her to be his second? A laugh peels past her lips as she meets his gaze, "I remember not all that long ago you were regetting the day you brought me here. Yet now you wish me to become one of importance here? An odd character you are." she breathes bumping her muzzle against his own. "I do not imagine my words fit for advising, simply spoken from the truth as I see it. However if that is your desire then I will not deny it. Im bound here for awhile yet anyway." she taunts arching her own neck to tug at a patch of ruffled fur along his shoulder.
