Like with Warsaw she held no grudges. It was a fight she knew that one day she'd have to fight. She suppose he thought she would back down since she was pregnant but Shaydowfax was too proud for that. However, she was a seasoned warrior and knew how to move and avoid hits to her belly. After all he hadn't been trying to kill her foal just beat her. Sure he did beat her in the first battle but being her, she wasn't about to back down. As she had no intentions of leaving the Dunes nor submitting to him she challenge him for the right to be his equal.

She didn't know if he was sexist or what but that didn't matter to her. Each position had its own duties. A king or lead stallion was the protector and seed donor, The queen or lead mare made sure everyone fell in line and got to water and food. That was her role, she had only wanted that role but she would always fight to protect her herd and family.

She had gone to quench her thirst immediately after the second battle. Golden had approached her then showing what she loved about the mare. The mare cared for everyone and was sweet.

Now Shaydowfax was eatting next to the small oasis. She knew her and Bahadir needed to talk. She held no grudge against him for his challenge, he won fair and square. She showed him though that she was no push over.
