He knew that he didn't deserve her kindness after the way he'd treated her when they first met but he was trying to change the way he treated mares. He was learning every time he interacted with another and he was adapting. He knew that Primrose was probably not this untrusting and bitter before he met her and that was on him, but it didn't have to be a bad thing, not completely. Maybe it would round her out to be a stronger mare in the end. She just had to move past what had brought it on. He wasn't asking for forgiveness. He wouldn't. She made a comment that he didn't know anything about her and his own ears flicked back as he tilted his head. "As you know nothing about me. We can change that if we just learn how to communicate." His gaze searched her face. Would she take his truce or continue to bite back? He tried to keep his pace slow as he led her around the Desert, knowing it couldn't be that easy to travel pregnant. At least she chose to follow him. He was sure it was the last thing she wanted to do but at least he could make sure she survived here. When she was able to see the oasis below, he watched her eyes widen before she took off to the grass and water. He let her go first, watching with fascination as she grabbed up mouthfuls of grass and drank her fill of water. A low chuckle left his lips before he slowly walked down to stand by her, but he careful to give her space so she didn't feel smothered. When she turned to him finally, he lifted his head back a little in surprise when she thanked him. She asked him to show her around and teach her about the island and he nodded. "Okay." He turned, slowly leading her around the Desert. He showed her more oases, some with large bushels of grass and pools of water. Others had dates and other desert fruits that were edible. He showed her all these and the shade trees that he knew of. He made all the rounds, showing her everything he could think of. He even took her to the cave he showed Geneva with the grass and the cool spring water.
