where the wind blows

The tension only grows stronger between the three and Wren can’t help but feel responsible. If only she had stayed with the herd as she should have, perhaps this wouldn’t be happening at all. But this is no time to apologize to Liland and she only gives a small nod when he asks if she is okay. Nothing had been harmed except for being terribly embarrassed.

When the stranger’s words seek her out again, Wren’s blue eyes fall upon his inky form with apprehension. She did not think this was fun nor anything else that might come from this. Swallowing hard, the mare raised her head some. “Please don’t cause any trouble.” she asked, hoping the stranger would not laugh at her plea. Every bit of him, as she looked at him now, seemed to stand for the very word she asked him not to do.

Glancing over to Liland for a split second, Wren decided it was best if she went. After all, she carried his child, and she did not want to stand in the way. Whatever Liland did, did not need to be hindered by trying to protect her. Giving one last look towards the stranger, silently asking him not to cause trouble, the golden mare turned and quickly fled back towards the herd.
