Devil's gonna get you if I don't first

Warsaw would like his foals to stay in the Inlet under his protection, but he knew that wouldn't always be the case. It was his daughters he was most worried about and who they chose as a mate. He wanted his daughters to find a strong mate that wasn't an enemy but telling a filly that might spark some extra drama. He knew enough about mare to know some did things because they were told not to. He wasn't sure in Neferyt was like that or not, but being his only young daughter he would have to keep an eye on her. He had hopes that Tinuvel would always be in his family's name starting with his rule and moving on to his twin sons. He had a vision of all his children staying here and living in their birth home as royalty, inviting their said mates home to the Inlet.

"It is, but it is the tradition. It also shows your loyalty to where you come from. If you come across someone else who introduces themselves this way they are more than likely related to you. Remember that at least." He got the feeling his daughter wouldn't really be using his teachings often. It was disappointing, but not every child would feel the same about it. As long as she took something from her family history and his teachings. He smiles lightly at his palomino overo daughter when she says sure. He knows she might want to get over with this conversation and play with the others, but it was important that she knows these things. It wouldn't be fair that he told her twin siblings and not herself.

My family comes from a valley far away from these islands. They had their own religion there, but I would say it is now dying off. Not even my mother practices the religion her mother had. Instead, my mother took on the teachings of her father. My grandfather has his own religion that wasn't native to the land. The only part I took was the introduction of one's name and family. I liked that it always kept your connection with the bloodline you came from." His body shirts and his tongue move around in his jaws to provide some more moisture to his drying mouth. "You have some Spanish ancestry in your blood as well as the valley natives, but upon coming to the islands I took on religion of my own. The natives on Tinuvel had a religion that felt more right for me. So, I don't care what you chose to believe in my daughter, but do take some part of me with you wherever you go in life."
