She knew that Liland wouldn't like the idea of her taking a trip to Paradise, but there was no way she could have asked him even if she could speak. That journey was for her sake and her sanity alone. It was not made for Liland, but to gain some clarity of her own. She needs to figure things out herself and she couldn't do that stuck around the same horses every day. Sabela did not stay in Paradise longer than she had to. She spoke with Zjeena and then swiftly left before Rougaru spotted her there. She had no intention of becoming a prisoner or leaving Liland, but only to see her friend.

She returns to the Bay after a few hours, but she barely made it out of the ocean when Liland's call reaches her. Her heart suddenly sinks as she wonders how long he has been calling for her. He would see her wet coat and he would know she left home. She would hide her little trip from him if she could, but that wasn't being honest. Sabela was usually very honest even if she couldn't put her honesty into words so why should she go against her nature now?

She shakes off what water she can and walks towards where Liland stands. She follows his calls and his scent until she finally reaches him. Every time she saw Liland she would get butterflies, but this time there were none. What did that mean?
