The cool waters numb the her painted skin, until finally she feels as if she can rise. She pulls her legs beneath her body and stands, rivulets of water drip down her hide. A sheepish grin touches her lips as she looks upon Jabari and nods her delicate crown. "Yes, only better," she says with a smile beginning to curl the corner of her lips. She eyes Jabari curiously, he seems so torn and weary for a young man and quietly she ponders what could be going on with him. Her bicolored eyes pop in surprise as he asks what is bothering her. Her gaze wavers as she steps from the water, a soft breeze ruffles her damp locks. "It's complicated," she says with a nod of her delicate crown. "I was battled for and won by a man named Shamwari, he was kind and told me some stuff that shook me to the core. He told me of a girl who was raped and tortured by Roug, and I felt like I had been betrayed. Because Roug and never mentioned Sanibel..." the words come tumbling from her mouth, she pauses and chews at her bottom lip. "I don't know what to do," she says as her gaze falls to her hooves. She swallows hard and brings her gaze back to Jabari, the words stick in her throat. "I feel afraid," she croaks, as her throat finally makes enough room for the words to pass. This is the first time in her life that she has been on her own to make her own decisions, and it seems every where she turns, she is making a mess.
