Show them the joy the pain and the ending to come;

Tuari had never been this far away from mother or the herd before. Part of it was Nova's concern for her daughter's safety. For whatever reason, Nova did not like it when Tuari ventured far from her side. She had nearly come unglued the day that she accidentally bumped into Warsaw while chasing a rabbit through the snowy fields. Why, Tuari doubted she would ever know. Nova was very tight lipped about a lot of things. Tuari only hoped that in time, she would come to find out at least some of the dark mare's secrets.

Ears flicker back and forth nervously as she lifts her small muzzle. Paper thin nostrils flare as she sifts through the various scents that drift down to her now. Some were familiar, scents of mares that perhaps were once apart of Warsaw's herd. She caught a glimpse of a pale red mare and for a moment a flicker of recognition tugs at her memory. She did not remember the mare's name, but she did remember that mother had actually grazed with her in amicable peace from time to time.

Tuari her name breaks through the sudden silence that built upon the winter landscape around her. Muscles tense beneath pale cream skin as nervously the smaller filly lifts her head and lets pale silver blue eyes scan the landscape that lay before her. Who knew her?

There. He moves towards her with a broad smile upon his lips, separating himself from the rest of the small herd that gathered for warmth. Finely chiseled head cocks to the side as for a moment she studies him as he closes the distance between them. He looked vaguely familiar, a foal she had once played with perhaps. There was a time when the Inlet had been full of foals, was he one of them? His scent wafts to her quivering nostrils and suddenly her eyes alight. "Torsten!" she nickers, his name falling happily from her lips as lithe limbs prance beneath her slender figure.

He stops in front of her, his ears flickering back and forth as he asks about how the Inlet herd and his father was. For the briefest of moments her smile falters. "They are all good I guess. Everything keeps changing and I dont like it. I feel more and more like the only foal left. Ever since you guys moved away." she murmurs, dejection lingering in her voice for a moment. It was true, there were so many changes occuring, so many things that she did not fully understand. Like what was with Warsaw lately, moping around as though his world was no more. What about the pale stallion that looked so much like her it was uncanny? Why did he keep watching her but never did he bother to approach her? Occasionally she thought about approaching him herself but well, childlike self conscious always won out.

"How about you? How have you been? Do you miss me?" she asks, her voice lightening as she does her best to lighten the mood once more.
