The dun stallion says exactly what he wanted him to. He confirms he was a son of Rade, but this was obvious by the stallion's appearance. This stallion was even more so a look-a-like of Rade than he was. Cullen had too much of his Arabian ancestry in his face. Once Cullen introduces his ancestry, the stallion does the same revealing his name as well as his parentage. Cullen does not recognize the mare's name, but since Fiero seems younger than himself it wasn't odd. Their father probably went on to have many more children than just them.

"I am intrigued to know how much you knew about our father." It wasn't his intention to make this conversation just about him and this new stallion, but Cullen had things he wanted to learn. He met his sire only once in a chance meeting as a young colt, but at the time he had no idea it was his blood he was speaking with. The conversation had been short only thing Rade was coming in live in the Lagoon in search of someone. If Cullen could have stuck around longer he would have learned it was his mother Rade searched for. Rade was kind to him then, but Felony had chased him away and kept him from learning who Rade was. He regretted it now, but at the time Felony had been law. In some ways, Felony was still law for him.

"Any details you have. Anything will do." He says, allowing the stallion to know just how much he wanted to learn about Rade. Some reasons why he acted a certain way maybe because of his father's heritage.
