Shaydowfax seemed so calm and sure of herself after everything, Illusion had to believe that the other mare knew her foal was okay and that it wasn't hurt in the battle. That made the golden mare feel better herself. The lead mare seemed to be in her element with both of them around, smiling as she said that she was glad to have them in her corner. Illusion nodded and reached her muzzle out to lip affectionately at Shaydowfax's shoulder. "Always." When Desirie mentioned that her own daughter carried Bahadir's foal, the dappled palomino mare said it was interesting and that she was sure he'd be a good father. Illusion smiled in agreement. "He'd better be." She said with determination. Sure, she had no idea what kind of relationship her own foal would have with its father but she'd known what she was getting into when she bred with the spotted stallion. She could be both father and mother if need be. Plus there was a stallion over the herd now to serve as a role model if needed. Illusion watched as Desirie reached out to nuzzle at Shaydowfax's neck. She loved the easy affection they could all show to each other, a real united front. This was why mares were so important in herds. They were the glue that held everything together. Desirie then looked to Illusion, saying she had hoped her daughter would get to know the stallion more first but that you can't always control your children. Illusion couldn't help but smirk and roll her shoulders in a shrug. "Sometimes I guess you can get caught up in the moment. I may have had a one night stand myself this season." She said as her eyes gave a twinkle of mischief. Then Desirie said that she wished them both a happy birth and she had to check on her daughter. Illusion nodded. "You too." She said before watching the other pale mare trot away. Then she turned back to Shaydowfax. "I guess I should get back to grazing. Got to fatten up some more before this baby comes." She said with a smile.
