As far as Wren knew, she had never been in any real danger. She had not been apart of the challenge. Only that she may have to move was the biggest worry. Liland had withstood the assault and prevailed. How long would it last? A season? A year? Wren didn’t want to think to far ahead. There was only one problem at a time she needed to face, and the biggest one was still inside her body.
“You are strong. I am positive you will continue to prevail.” The mare replied, offering him a kind smile in return. “You should go and rest. A King deserves it every once in a while. Especially after battle.” She took a step forward, reaching out her muzzle to bump his shoulder in a supportive gesture. Only afterwards did the young mare turn away, moving closer to the herd then so that the stallion would not worry about her any longer.
