It was not his fault if Zjeena thought he wouldn't let her visit. He wasn't that kind of stallion. He also knows Nat is mad and angry and is expressing it and Liland lets him. He has come to accept that Zjeena and him weren't meant to be together, no matter how much he still loved the mare. His words were not sinking in with his son and his ears plane out a bit as his son once again lunges at him.

This time Liland allows his teeth to sink in. He moves his body to push his son away from him but he does not strike out at him. He would never harm his children no matter how mad they were at him. He'd let Nat take out his anger on him if that is what helped his son. He did not know how to get through to him. Another reason why he couldn't ally with Rougaru, this was partially his fault. But it didn't matter he was done with the stallion, his family and herd was what mattered to him and he was going to fix this to the best of his ability. He does not say anything to his son now, only allows him to use him as a punching bag. Though he made sure that no blows would cause much harm to himself by moving his body but never rough to the point that Nat would fall or get hurt.
