Their first "official" meeting had been less than stellar, not what he had envisioned it was going to be like at all. Shortly after their meeting had ended, he had set his hooves to the sands and let them wander through the vast expanse of the Dunes. He had traveled to the far oasis and lazed beneath the shadows of the fig trees, letting his worries dissapate on the deserts sultry winds. He had known that soon that new life would flourish in the Dunes, and it was his duty to insure that the young were well protected.

At dawn, he pushes himself from beneath the fig trees and heads in the direction that he had last seen the herd. They will be near to water. He sets off at a swift jog, his legs easily propel him through the sands with every stride. His thoughts flicker to Amunet, the fierce warrioress from the Peak then to Libra, a woman he hopes he will be able to build a relationship with; despite their rocky beginning.

As he crests the last dune, his dark gaze flickers over the familiar shapes of the Dunes herd. He instantly recognizes Shaydowfax and beside her stands a pale and white splashed foal. Then his dark gaze flicks to a familiar face, Libra, he catches his breath as he looks upon their child. His stomach flipflops with anxiety. He doesn't even know how to be a father... he never had one. He descends the dune and cautiously steps toward Libra, his ears rotate nervously within his unkempt ebony mane.

His dark eyes flick over their child, she is crimson with white speckled sides much like his own. He raises his head proudly, before speaking. "She is beautiful," he pauses before he continues. "Have you named her yet?"
