Was I left behind?
Tell me, tell me I survived.

I breathe another heavy sigh, the sides of barrel rising slowly then falling, before it fades into a short-lived yawn. For the most part, I felt fairly comfortable in Cain's presence. As our conversation continued, he gave me no reason to feel nothing but at ease in his company. My red tail drifts idly between my haunches as I listen to what he has to say next.

I snort once as he describes some of the troubles he's having with his neighbors, and his good nature about it causes a sly smirk to appear across my whiskered lips. "Keep beating them back." I say offhand. "They'll get the message sooner or later, that you're here to stay."

But then the painted stallion reveals a slew of names that catch my interest more seriously. The first of course, is Persephone, my neighbor and ally. The next, unfortunately, are our foes. But the way Cain describes them all seems to suggest that he's had similar, unfortunate run-ins with Warsaw and Rougaru as the rest of us on Luthien. I snort again as I shift my weight back onto all fours, and stiffen up a little. "Persephone is my neighbor, and a long ally." I offer easily. "She's trustworthy."

My brown eyes study the stallion now. "The two stallions you mention... Well, they're the ones who seem so eager for this so-called war."

I let my gaze drift out to our surroundings, and suddenly I feel a pull to return home. I stomp one hoof at a lone pesky fly and prepare to make my departure. "It's nice to meet you Cain. Civil conversation between leaders seems to happen less frequently these days, so I appreciate it." I offer with the bob of my head. "If I can ever be of help, you can find me on Luthien."

ooc: No worries at all!! It's hard to keep track of all the threads, lol. Sham will surely be seeing Cain again soon! :)
