He wonders if this is how his padre felt when he met him or when he met all his young. Augustine was aware that he was not the only son of Ernesto, but he did not care to have siblings. He wanted to meet them all, but he didn't know if any of his half-siblings were even around. He wonders if his mother was foaling again this season after Clarity. He does not think of his mother often, but his actions as a young lad were different than he would choose to do now. Augustine would still have stayed behind in the Lagoon to learn from his father and his older brother Cullen, but he may have stayed in contact with his mother.

He had no idea where she was now. It was mission now to ensure Zafar would always keep his mother close and keep her safe. Sure, he wants his son to live with him here and serve as a bachelor, but he did not want Zafar to lose sight of a relationship with Adelia. It was because of Adelia Zafar was even here. Augustine watches Adelia for her answer. She says she was fine, just tired, and his head nods. Her next words come at a surprise, but he shows her respect by never leaving her face with his brown eyes. He nods, understanding her wants. "It is great to hear you are well." He says softly. He watches Zafar move back towards his mother to nurse. This is when Augustine moves closer to Adelia.

He nuzzles the side of her neck before pulling back to look into her eyes. "Not all of us think that way bonita. Some of us just prefer solitude or without the responsibility of a herd. This is my home and if you and Zafar wish to stay here with me I would be very happy, but if you decide to leave I won't stop you. I do hope I can see Zafar again though." His eyes leave her to watch the grullo colt suckle underneath his Fjord mother. Augustine was curious about what the colt would look like when he grew up with such different looking parents. "I have thought about what you asked me, but no I don't want to lead a herd. This is where I belong." He says this with a sad smile on his lips.
