The road goes ever on

He felt horrible he has distracted himself from his main mission, finding Primrose and Dahlia. At first, it was just Primrose he was looking for, but shortly before he claimed the Badlands, he met with an upset Daphne. Her sister was missing just as his was and he made her a promise he would help to find her sister. He knew how much it hurt not knowing where Primrose was and if she was okay so not looking for Dahlia was tearing him apart. He had to get back on his journey even with the promise of a dead mare on his mind.

Feray has been tasked with helping him find a nurse mare and he assumes she would be much better at that than he would be. After all, she has found the herd water. He trusted every member of his herd were playing an important rule in keeping the place running while he was away. His search for Primrose and Dahlia was just beginning. The young stallion plunges into the sea and drives his legs against the cold waves and rough waters. He swims as far as he could manage before needing a break. He swims to the first island he sees, climbing onto the sandy shore with labored breaths. He would need to practice his long swim more often.

The sounds of shuffling hooves brought his head up in an instant. He spots a very large brown and white Clydesdale patrolling not far from where he stands. There was no way little Roheryn could defeat a stallion like that, but there was also no way he was turning back. Time to face your fears, son. He images the voice of his father speaking as his sky blue eyes close for a second. A deep breath enters his lungs, his eyes open, and he makes a nonthreatening call to the stranger up ahead.
