Devil's gonna get you if I don't first

Ironclad was not so in tune with the struggles their parents were having. He did think it was weird he spent most of his time with mother lately versus father, but he was not good at telling what was going on. He noticed mother wasn't walking normally, that something was off, but he just thought that was the baby giving her trouble. Really, Ironclad was more interested in seeing his baby sibling more than anything. He wanted a little brother he could show around and flirt with the females with. He would teach him everything he has learned so far. The colt's eyes look to his grey twin. He wished Letavce would leave mother's side more often and come join his games, but he was always so concerned.

He says mom is sick, that he wants everything back to normal. Ironclad could agree with that last bit, but he hadn't noticed mother's deteriating health. "Me too." He says in a whisper. When they were first born life seemed to much easier and happier. Suddenly playing didn't seem so great right now. "What do you think they are saying?" He asks with blue eyes turning to look at the two grown horses in the distance. They shouldn't notice a spy or two.

Warsaw wasn't ready for the her to speak. He wasn't ready to hear that she didn't love him anymore or that the very reason he brought her here was no more. Their passion was once ground breaking. So strong that is broke through the differeneces in their personalities and conqured all their obstacles. The passion was clouded by a string of losses and a hard fall to the ground, but there was one thing that always remained behind. Warsaw loves her. She was in his heart and at the end of every day, in his mind. Vita Nova was the ever present spirit he couldn't break away from. Even in the weakened state she was in she still stands strongly. He could see how this was breaking her down, but she pretends to be alright.

Vita Nova was a true Queen of Tinuvel.

He takes in a deep breath and, as if on que, she finally speaks. Grey ears perk forward and his body leans towards her in a way to hang on every word she said. She was loyal...she did birth his twin heirs...she even stayed when he did the ultimate thing wrong, challenge the lands she came from. Who else would stand by him, but his Queen? Her eyes fix on him and he finds her gaze as she says the words he has been longing to hear. She loves him. Why did those words feel like a sword peircing his heart? He should feel relived, but he only felt afraid. Her words continue to pan out some of his flaws, but more improtantly, she admits what has gone wrong in their relationship. He had forsaken her. All this was his fault and had nothing to do with his loss to Xiomara or Liland.

It made him feel powerful to think he could do whatever he wants with his subjects. They were already loyal to him, but in reality they were loyal to her. Vita Nova had won everyone over with her strength, her beauty, and her honesty. She does not control by fear, but with dignity. She looks away from him to the place where their sons stood. Their sons did not deserve this relationship they had now. No, they deserved the power hourse they used to be together. The strong couple they were when they were first concieved and born. Back when they first exchanged I love yous. An uncontrollable flinch causes his body to jerk and his old bones to crack at the sudden movements. Her words peirce his mind like tiny daggers. She was not like the others.

Their eyes lock together and she threatens him. She gives him the biggest threat of his life and the ultimate choice. He still had a chance as long as he could straighten up and treat his mare like she should be treated. Vita Nova and their foals was all he needed anymore. After this war he has worked so hard to plan, he would dedicate his time to them and them only. He will work to gain back their kingdom, put all of them back on the pedestols they deserve. "I swear." He says in a whisper on the wind between them. His eyes fix on her, but he sees something strange. Pain takes over her features and her sudden step his way causes a reaction in the grey stallion. He moves in to catch her should she fall, but Vita Nova was stubborn. She would not fall in front of him no matter what it cost her.

His heart instantly sinks at her next set of words. She says the foal was killing her. The fear in her eyes said even more to Warsaw as he lets out a low whinny. She says she can no longer keep them safe, can no longer keep up with the duties of a territory lead. He could guess what she meant, to give the Inlet back to his control, but he didn't care about that right now. Vita Nova reaches out and touches him which causes his eyes to close and his body to lean into her touch. His eyes snap open at her last words and a snarl leaves his lips. "You are stronger than me." He says with a scowl. "Vita Nova you have proved this on the battle field and off it. This will not be the end of you and this will not be the end of us." He scolds her in a way, but he hopes to spark life into the mare.

His lips reach her ears and he whispers his very real truth. "I still need my Queen to survive." Without her he might begin to feel the weight of the world on his old shoulders. His body may no longer move like it should.
