Declining Birth Rate in the U.S. Posted on 1/26/2020 at 18:11:43 by Bill Crawford, (14)
There was a front page article in today's Denver Post discussing the problems associated with the unusually low unemployment rate in the state of Colodado; namely, the increasing difficulty in fulfilling jobs across the economy. (See below link).
This reminds one of the numerous articles in recent years discussing the fact that the birth rate in the U.S. in not sufficient to keep up with the need for workers. (See below: https://www.insider.com/us-fertility-rate-hit-new-low-in-2017-2019-1).
European countries have been facing this problem for some years; particularly Germany, France and Spain. It is for this reason that they have opened up their doors to increased immigration.
Maybe we should be doing the same; rather than taking steps to cut back on immigration, as seems to be the case today.
