The recent death of classmate William Daniels,whom I never knew, got me reflecting on all the other times a person passes and what if anything it should cause me to consider. John Donne's poem "For whom the bell tolls"came to mind and I found a bit which addresses what a death means to any of us: No man is an island entire of itself. Any man's death diminishes me because I am involved in mankind. Therefore, never send to know for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee. By the way Gary Cooper nailed the lead role in the movie in case you missed it! Replies:
