Devil's gonna get you if I don't first

Greed had taken over his last challenge to Liland, but since then the grey stallion was humbled. His Queen helped him see what was truly important and that he did not need everything from his past back in his grasp. He did not need Ylva back, he could not have Sabela, and he did not necessarily need control of the Bay. As long as the stallion that rules the Bay was on his side and allows him to be King they could live peacefully on their side of Tinuvel. His offer to Liland would not be unlike his very first offer when Liland decides it wasn't what he wanted. The agreement might change up a little, but the basis was the same.

After Liland's journeys around the islands, Warsaw could only hope Liland has reached some clarity. The Fjord speaks and Warsaw listens with narrowed eyes. It was clear he has realized some things his herd requires, which is why he was stronger, but Warsaw was not one to roll over when an enemy defeats him. He did not give up as a young stallion with Dexter first brought him down in battle and he would not give up now as an older stallion. Both stallions stand tall, chest to chest, never giving up on either side. Liland was stubborn, so was Warsaw. An evenly matched pair of testosterone.

His demands were met with a lot of questions. He expected as much because Liland had done the same thing before. Some things don't mind with time. Warsaw doesn't answer at first, giving Liland time to get everything out. The Fjord questions his notion again and this time states that his own children need a place to inherit. Warsaw wonders just whom Liland has chosen as an heir if he had one yet. He did know he had a child with his half-sister if not more than one. "We have been over this before Liland." Warsaw says with a roll of his dark brown eyes. "You can have your Bay without the worry of me or anyone in the Kingdom trying to take it from you. Our bloodlines have mixed and therefore we should be acting more like partners instead of enemies." The words shock himself. Should they be working together? Friends? Brothers in arms?

He didn't know if this was the right decision and he was unsure if Liland was still friends with some of his greatest enemies. "You would be titled an Earl, which is a high ranking land owner, as would Requiem. You can control your land as you wish, but the Inlet herd is looked upon as royalty. You will aid us in protection and when you have troubles you can request aid from myself and my herd." His eyes never blink as he speaks to the proud Liland. "Our enemies and our friends will be the same though I have some knowledge that you have friends I don't agree with. I will not ask you to fight them unnecessarily, but if it comes to Tinuvel or them, you side with us."

He takes a breath. "Your herd can live in peace and your children may inherit your Bay." Now, what real benefit does this provide Liland? "Our forces are stronger united. My strength and experience are dedicated to protecting my Kingdom. That includes your herd if you allow my crown to return." He watches the Bay Lead with interest. He wonders what goes through this hot-headed stallion, but he sees some of his younger self in the lad. There were big differences of course, but they share some of the same qualities.

"I will be guiding an army into war on the Forest very soon. If you have some steam to blow off from Sabela's death or from anything that has gone wrong lately, you are welcome to join." He offers Liland a chance to battle at his side. This may very well be the more epic battle Warsaw has even been involved in. It may also be his last, no one could know.
