live life to the fullest

Creed could see the anger on Evren's face when she told her about the poor mare who came upon her and Persephone. She mostly felt sad for the mare that she went through that. A shiver went down Creed's spine. She must have felt so helpless in those moments....Creed hoped to never feel that way. Her head nodded in agreement when Evren said the mare was lucky she washed up here and not somewhere else. Creed agreed that this was the best place for her to be. She felt so safe here, so guarded. When Evren spoke again of her family, Creed perked up and listened, taking in the names Indira and Kalayani. She hadn't come across them yet but Evren made it sound like it would only be a matter of time before she did. She said that she liked to think of the Forest as one big family and Creed smiled, her eyes lighting up as she nodded.

"Me, too." She missed her own family terribly sometimes but it helped knowing that she had horses like Persephone and Evren and Hannah to be her friends, her sisters. Evren said that the herd would be growing more soon and the black mare tilted her head. She gasped happily when Evren announced that Hannah, herself, and Persephone were pregnant. "Oh, congratulations! I can't wait to see the babies!" Then Evren brought up a war and Creed pinned her ears in dismay, her head ducking as fear glimmered in her eyes. She'd heard the call from Warsaw but since nothing had happened since, she'd about convinced herself it was just a bad dream and nothing would come of it. It seemed she was wrong. Another shiver ran down her spine as Evren told her of the danger and that their island was united but he could move against them at any time. Creed's tail tucked and her muscles spasmed. She didn't know whether she wanted to run or hide. Maybe both.

Then Evren told her to be careful and she nodded her head vigorously. Evren brought up her looking after the foals and those not fighting and she took some hope. She didn't know the first thing about fighting so it was probably best if she didn't. She nodded again. "I'll let someone know if I see anything. And I don't mind watching the foals and the herd." When Evren reached out to nip at her, Creed smiled and let out a soft giggle, glad that the paint was trying to lighten the mood. All this talk of war just had her scared. Evren said they were in this together and that made Creed feel a little better. She scowled. "I...I just don't want any of you to get hurt. Promise me, will you and Persephone and the mares who fight be careful, too?" Her eyes practically pleaded with the mare. She had grown used to this new family and she didn't know what she'd do without any of them.
