In a way, she understood why Lissa couldn't stay here but in others, she still wished there was something that could have been agreed to make all parties happy. Of course, Monster was no fool so she knew that sometimes, there was no making everyone happy. Maybe Lissa would be happier somewhere else. Judging from the looks of it, that seemed to be the case. The black mare seemed happy and healthy for what it was worth. Monster was sure she didn't like leaving her son, Noctis behind, but a colt probably needed his father in his life as a role model so that he could defend his own herd some day. Lissa could always come visit him. Monster hadn't heard anything different, anyway. She wondered what all Lissa had been up since leaving Paradise. Was she lead mare somewhere? Did she make new friends? Monster did care about the black mare and wanted her to be happy, even if she wasn't here.

The paint mare wondered if Lissa was still taking part in the war. Would she be fighting against Rougaru and the rest of the Paradise herd or was she neutral to it now? When Monster held out her muzzle, Lissa exchanged breaths with her before saying she looked good too. The paint smirked as she glanced back at her less rounded barrel. "I'm just glad that baby weight all came off. That was hell." She said with a playful roll of her eyes. She pricked her ears as Lissa introduced herself to Medusa before introducing her younger son as Quillon. Monster smiled. "A handsome name for a handsome colt. Congrats, Lissa." She glanced back up at her friend as the black mare confirmed that she was a lead mare now in the Thicket. Monster tensed a little, knowing it was on Luthien which probably meant it was allied with the Forest.

Lissa was quick to quiet her fears though, telling her she was no enemy of Rougaru or herself, saying that she made a deal with the stallion in the Thicket, Ruger, that she wouldn't fight. That calmed Monster and she nodded in acknowledgement. At least she knew she wouldn't have to come up against Lissa in true battle. Spars were alright, but she never actually wanted to aim to hurt her friends and she counted the black mare among them. Lissa then changed the subject, saying Rougaru was going to take Quillon from her when he was weaned and it would make her an enemy if he did. Monster scowled thoughtfully before speaking. "Maybe there's a compromise we haven't looked into yet. Perhaps shared time between his mother and father? Trading off every other week or two weeks, perhaps? A son may need a male role model as he grows and develops, but I also believe that a child never stops needing their mother, either." Her own gaze went to Medusa, her expression softening as she looked at her daughter. At least now she could say those kinds of things with an understanding of the feeling.

She would never want to lose her child, especially not by force, so she understood Lissa's resistence. It wouldn't be a good experience for Quillon either cause he would know his mother wasn't happy with the arrangement. Maybe she could make Rougaru see some reason in this, but some sort of compromise was the only way she could see around it peacefully. Her gaze slowly swept then to Noctis as he turned to Medusa and introduced himself. The tobiano mare smiled as Medusa stuck her nose out to Noctis as Monster had done to Lissa. "Hi, Noctis." She spoke in a sugar sweet voice, though her eyes held twinkles of mischief, her tiny tail swishing behind her. The filly looked up at Lissa and then at her younger son as well. "Lissa, Quil." She repeated their names, nodding to each in turn as she'd watched her mother do in greetings. She stood as tall as she could on her long gangly legs before stomping the ground in a clear challenge to either.
