Speaking of Bloomberg's TV ads.
One of his most recent ads shows Obama complimenting him on various occasions; in particular, citing him for being able to get things done in a bitterly partisan-divided situation.
With regard to the latter. I think it is interesting to note that during the entire period of those commercials in which Obama is shown praising Bloomberg---Bloomberg was a Republican . (Bloomberg only shifted back to being a Democrat in 2018, after shifting from Democrat to Republican in 2001).

Correction: It turns out that Bloomberg registered as an Independent in 2007, and was therefor not a Republican during the period that Obama was praising him. (See below: https://publicintegrity.org/politics/elections/presidential-profiles-2020/michael-bloomberg-president-election-democrat/).
