War? How could it be? She had returned to the Islands in hopes to be reunited with her daughter, but now she has stepped into carnage and bloodshed. Her heart aches knowing that Caly could possibly find herself hurt, or worse. Her heart thunders wildly in her chest, fear grips at her soul, and her breath comes in short ragged breaths; the thought of war brings a fresh wash of panic over her and a new found urgency to find Caly.

She would not cower in fear, no she would go to the Forest and aid in keeping their foals safe and she silently hopes that she will not find Caly. As she moves silently through the dark, the midnight sky illuminated by the silvery full moon. Her emerald eyes tip up toward the night sky, it is the silence that is sends a shiver down her spine. She halts within the shadows of the Forest, her emerald eyes strain to see if anyone comes wandering through the forest.

Satisfied, she moves closer to the sound of squeals and screams, her heart begins to pound wildly in her chest. She swallows the lump of fear that begins to build in her throat. As the sounds grow louder her steps become more deliberate as instinct begins take over. There were those that needed her help, innocent women and children. All of them were in danger and her selfish thoughts of Caly could be worried about later.

As she steps from the shrouded shadows of the Forest, her emerald eyes grow wide with the scene that unfolds before her. Horses are scattered out before her, their screams and guttural cries pierce into her soul. They throw themselves at each other with such violence and seething anger.
